英國 stonar 寄宿女校2017年招收 7,8,9,12年級學生,有男生宿舍

Good news from across the Stonar School:

  • Highly positive Independent Schools Inspectorate  (ISI) compliance inspection
  • Now accepting entries for boys into years 7, 8, 9 and 12 for 2017
  • A price freeze for 2016-2017

Please see below for further information:

Positive ISI Inspection

We are delighted to have received a highly positive compliance inspection report from the ISI which confirms Stonar meets all of the regulatory requirements in every area inspected, across the whole school.

Pupil and parent surveys also show a high level of satisfaction with the school; scoring Stonar very highly both for academic progress and pastoral care. 98% of pupils agreed that they find their lessons interesting and engaging, and again 98% agreed that the school encourages them to do their best. 99% of parents agree that their child is well looked after with 97% also agreeing that their child is making good progress and that their individual educational needs are being met.

Notably, the report was also complimentary about the integration of the international pupils in the school.

“The international population of the school is seen as something to celebrate. Maps which show the home countries of boarders and regular international cooking demonstrates the level of appreciation and contribution that different cultures make to the life of the school.”

As a compliance inspection rather than a full inspection, the report does not provide grades for the quality of the provision at Stonar. The 2012 full Inspection Report described the school as follows: 'The quality of the pupils' achievements and learning is excellent' as is the personal development of pupils, supported by 'extremely high levels of pastoral care.'

The full report can be downloaded from our website.

Extending Co-education

As final preparations are made to welcome our first boys into Year 7 in September 2016, I am pleased to announce we are accelerating the phased introduction of boys into the Senior School and this  is detailed in the table below. We are accepting applications now for September 2017 for boys into Years 7, 8 and 9 and into our Sixth Form in Year 12.

Our new timetable builds towards achieving a fully co-educational school by 2019 but enables us to maintain single-sex classes for older senior girls until their exam years have passed.

Price Freeze for 2016-17

Finally, we can also announce that there will be no increase in fees in 2016-17.

After consultation with many of you, we understand that the increasing cost of school fees has put pressure on families, and hope that this demonstrates our commitment to offering good value for money.

There will be small increases to certain extras such as clubs and a full fee sheet will be circulated in the Spring term.
